The 2023 Lamborghini Countach model is designed by Marcello Gandini. The Countach's unique design concept had a huge influence on car design and pioneered the wedge-shaped, sharply angled look popular in many high-performance sports cars.

The body was an entirely new design using a steel space frame chassis to create a lightweight body. The doors and windows are very small as they were designed with wind tunnel testing.

The 2023 Lamborghini Countach model has a V12 engine with four valves per cylinder and dual overhead cams. It also features Weber carburetors and a dry sump oiling system. The capacity started from 3,929 cc in 1973, growing to 4754 cc in 1985.

Fiberglass was initially used for the bodywork for its lightness but then switched to aluminum and kevlar as the cars evolved into their later iterations.

The Countach's styling and visual impression made it an icon of great design to almost everyone except automotive engineers. The superior performance characteristics of later Lamborghinis, such as the Diablo and Murciélago, can be traced back to the Countach's engineering approach of the 1970s. For more:
