IEC 61753-085:02:2021 specifies the minimum initial measurement and test requirements that a fibre-optic pigtailed coarse wavelength division multiplexing device (CWDM) must meet in order to be classified as meeting the requirements for category C (indoor controlled environments), as described in Annex A to IEC 61753-1.2018. IEC 62074-1 defines CWDM. This is the first edition that cancels and replaces IEC 617533-085-2, which was published in 2008. This edition is a technical revision. This edition contains the following technical change in respect to IEC61753-085-2. Change of test conditions that harmonize with IEC 61753-1.2018.

This standard applies to fixed-inductors that are designed to suppress electromagnetic interference. They will be connected to an AC mains supply or another supply with a nominal voltage of not more than 1000 V AC r.m.s. or 1500 V DC with no nominal frequency exceeding 400 Hz.

This International Standard only applies to inductors that are fixed and have passed safety tests. Inductors that conform to this specification can be connected to mains supply when Annex A's mandatory tests are necessary or used in other circuit positions in which the equipment specification requires that they pass all or some of the safety tests.

It also allows the user to set the lubricant feed and distribution for both steel-backed plain bearing bush bushes and bushes with a steel backing made of copper alloys and aluminium alloys.

Because plain bearing bushes made from sintered metals are soaked in lubricant, it is not possible to specify the lubricant feed or distribution. Plain bearing bushes made from artificial carbon do not require oil or grease to lubricate.

This edition replaces the 1997 edition of IEC 61243-5 and the 2011 edition of IEC62271-206. This edition combines the contents of IEC 61243-5 with IEC 62271-206. This edition contains the following technical changes in comparison to previous editions IEC 61243-5 or IEC 62271-206. The document does not include specific phase comparators (SPCs), which were specific to manufacturers. It also takes back the technical principles for the universal phase comparator, (UPC), for VDIS of all manufacturer; the phase comparator is introduced for sequential connected operation to allow phase comparation of large-sized MV panels.
